You may find System Firmware, Network Adapters, etc. Ĝheck in Device Manager, that devices have current drivers.ěe sure that your PC’s BIOS, OS, DirectX, etc.

FWIW, I'll paste in a little list I made to try to help other less-savvy users with similar audio problems with Windows. The most latency was in the NVIDIA driver and DirectX. I think disabling the second video card and also the Dell SupportAssist utilities probably had the biggest impact. al., I changed a ton of things, some culled here, from SOS, Dell forums, etc. But again, it is not the interface and I can't blame the DAW as it worked great on another W10 machine. Sometimes, reloading the project will restore it, sometimes, closing and reopening Mixcraft will, other times, the USB must be pulled. But, with the DAW just sitting open and doing something in Chrome, LatMon will go red, sometimes after hours of green, and audio will drop. Other audio devices are disabled, as is Bluetooth, Wireless adapters (it's a desktop), etc. Thing is, let's take the audio interface, its cable, USB ports and other power management out of the equation, because everything has either been set for high performance, or was taken out of the equation by going strictly to onboard audio to test. I've done everything I can think of and have culled from numerous good suggestions on SOS, PG Music, Acoustica Mixcraft, and Focusrite forums. These are apparently leading to the audio dropouts I experience.

It appears to be 3 Windows drivers that are responsible for the greatest latency, with LatMon calling-out dxgkrnl.sys, Wdf01000.sys, and msmpeng.exe. Hi guys, Similar stuff on a new Dell XPS 8930.
